Public Health Scholarships Joint Call for Proposals in Food Biotechnology Academy

The Public Health Scholarships focus is the development of biotechnical processes in the food and nutrition science research, covering all issues in which biotechnology is applied. 3-year project to cover for example the following topics: food processing and food safety.The successful projects will be funded in India by DBT and in Finland by the Finnish Academy. Joint projects must meet the criteria of funding agencies. Research projects funded for a maximum of three years.

Finland and India co-applicant will develop a research plan together that will be sent to both DBT and the Academy of Finland using a form of organization of each, respectively. The Public Health Scholarships application must include a statement of how the proposed collaboration brings added value to both countries.

ThePublic Health Scholarships project budget should clearly describe the justified costs of Finland and India. The cost of Finnish couples should be eligible in accordance with guidelines from the Academy of Finland. Thus, the cost of Indian partner must be eligible in accordance with the DBT guidelines. Public Health Scholarships Applicants are reminded to include a sufficient budget for travel between Finland and India to ensure successful collaboration.

Public Health Scholarships

The Public Health Scholarships program aims to make Norway an attractive destination for Ph.D. research highly qualified international students and young researchers in all subject areas, thereby strengthening the Norwegian research community involved.

Public Health Scholarships Grant applications will be accepted from the following countries:
European Countries: All countries, including all Council of Europe member states, except for the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden).
Non-European countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico and South Africa.

This Public Health Scholarships programme/activity normally accepts grant applications from:

- Ph.D. students admitted to an organised doctoral degree programme;
- Younger researchers who completed a Ph.D. degree not more than six years prior to submission of the grant application.
Applicants must be affiliated with a higher education and/or research institution in one of the countries covered under the programme.

Overall budget:

The annual budget framework is about NOK 10 million.

The Norwegian-language call for proposals is published at the latest six weeks before the deadline date. When applicable, English-language versions will be published as soon as possible after the Norwegian version.

PhD Public Health Scholarships at Gottingen Graduate School

Ten doctoral Public Health Scholarships programs are now united under the umbrella of GGNB that share a common platform for interdisciplinary training for doctoral students. All courses are in English. Each doctoral Public Health Scholarships student is one of the doctoral programs GGNB where he / she receives individual counseling and in his thesis by a thesis committee of three faculty members affiliated performed.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships Public Health Scholarships

GTAs Public Health Scholarships cover full home fees and a maintenance grant set at Research Council Rates. In 2010-11 this amounted to approximately £15,590. GTAs are awarded annually on the basis of the academic excellence of the candidates and their potential as teachers of law. GTAs are allocated on the basis of the teaching needs in the Department of Law and the areas of expertise of the PhD students.
Eligibility: To apply for a GTA you must already have a UK or common law LLB qualification so that you are familiar with the teaching syllabus.

The Public Health Scholarships award is for full time postgraduate PhD research students only.The award is only open for applicants who want entry in September, as this is when teaching begins and when the award will start to be paid.As the GTA is a Department of Law award, your research proposals must relate to the Department’s areas of teaching and research. Research areas include: public international law; international human rights; public law; European Union law;criminology, legal theory and legal history; equity, trusts and property law; class actions, healthcare law;comparative law; immigration,asylum and rights of ethnic minorities; company and commercial law; competition law; criminal law and environmental law. The Public Health Scholarships main functions are NCREN are systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials and research knowledge transfer to further commit to providing research training.
